What is Grade Math?

Grade Math Programs is a unique supplemental education math program designed for students in primary and secondary school.

Grade Math Programs is the second educational franchise developed by Grade Expectations Learning Systems Inc. Started in 1993, Grade Expectations Learning Systems Inc. originated as Grade Expectations Learning Centres. After much study of the education business, the advisors decided that there was a significant market opportunity in the supplementary education field. Ontario is our priority market, followed by main population centres in the rest of Canada. Our long-term goal is simple: to become the largest learning centres in the country.

What is the future of the industry?

Supplemental education is a multi-million dollar, growing market. The time is right to enter this industry, as the current demand for supplemental education services is strong with market projections to continue with double-digit growth. Over the past three years, consumer spending on tutoring has increased 7 to 10 percent annually. Canadians are only beginning to grasp that they must look beyond the public system if they want the best educational opportunities for their children.

Do I have to be a teacher to successfully own and operate a Grade Math business?

Absolutely not! Successful licensees have come to us with backgrounds in sales, finance, marketing, administration or management. The comprehensive training and support we provide will address hiring, training and supervising teachers.

What training and support is available?

The Grade Math training program will provide you with the practical tools you need to successfully work in this industry and will prepare you for an exciting new career. The training focuses on business, administration, accounting, customer service, hiring, safety, sales, marketing, business planning and goal setting. As part of the training and support, there is in field learning and ongoing support and training. You are never alone with Grade Math.

How much is the license fee and start up costs?

Currently, the license fee is $5000 and the total start up package is $1985. These fees are subject to change.

What is included in the start-up package?

The start-up package includes everything necessary to get your business up and running. It includes things such as: Business Operations and Education Operations Manuals, assessment booklets, student worksheet modules, Math Curriculum Summary, accounting software, posters, signs, business cards, and letterhead.

How much is the management and advertising fees?

Grade Math charges a flat fee of $18 per student; of this $1 goes towards the advertising fund.
