NEW - Work Readiness Program
February 12, 2010
Our new Workplace Readiness Program was created to help workers find increased success as they re-enter the workforce. This program is not National Occupational Classification (NOC) specific, and as such, it can be offered to all workers no matter what their employment goals may be. This program provides workers with additional training on topics that will contribute to their on-the-job success!
The Workplace Readiness Program was developed based on common needs recognized by Grade's education specialists. The program's modules focus on two key components, "Workplace Communication Skills" and "Transitioning Back to Work." Workers will learn to enhance their communication skills with respect to computer use and direct contact with co-workers, supervisors, and customers. Our "Transitioning Back to Work" modules help workers recognize their employability strengths, minimize barriers, leverage their network and understand how to return to work safely, with professionalism and, more importantly, with confidence.
This short program is designed for individuals who are seeking entry-level positions and those soon entering the workforce. However, due to its uniqueness within the industry, it would be valuable to all workers who require assistance adjusting to their return to work or those who would benefit from additional training that is not NOC specific.
